Enjoy bright images in a variety of settings with the Canon LX-MH502Z 5000-Lumen Pixel-Shift 4K UHD Laser DLP Projector. It uses pixel-shift technology to display data and images at resolutions up to 4K UHD on your screen or wall, and its 1.36 to 2.18:1 throw ratio allows you to place the projector at various distances from the screen without losing focus. Its 5000 lumens of brightness help it overcome ambient light in most situations.
The LX-MH502Z features HDBaseT, VGA, and two HDMI inputs for connecting different types of devices. A USB port provides power to compatible mobile and streaming devices. The projector has a built-in 10W speaker and includes an IR remote control for added convenience.
4-Way Pixel-Shift Technology Projects 4K UHD Resolution
4-way pixel-shift technology combines image processing with the ability of the DMD’s mirrors to shift at the microsecond level to allow each mirror to project multiple pixels per frame, creating a 4K UHD image from an otherwise non-UHD chip.
High Brightness and Dynamic Contrast Ratio
The LX-MH502Z delivers bright 5000-lumen images with a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio to help ensure deep blacks, bright whites, and enhanced color accuracy.
Laser Light Source for Long Life and a Wide Color Range
The laser light source is engineered to last up to 20,000 hours in standard use. Operation is virtually maintenance free with minimal down time, as the light source doesn’t require routine replacement, keeping running costs relatively low over time. The laser light source allows the projector to be installed at any angle and facing in any direction. Additionally, the light output covers the sRGB color space to deliver millions of colors.
Single-Chip DLP Technology
DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology uses a color wheel along with a reflective digital micromirror device (DMD) to produce video and images with augmented brightness, helping images and video retain detail.
DICOM Simulation Mode
The LX-MH502Z offers a DICOM Simulation Mode that allows the projector to simulate the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function, for display of grayscale images. The DICOM Simulation Mode, which supports both Blue and Clear Base, adjusts the gradation between the minimum and the maximum luminance, so gradation is distributed optimally. This feature is optimized for displaying medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs, which makes the LX-MH502Z useful for non-diagnostic purposes such as lectures, academic meetings, and hospital conferences. This feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only.
Multiple Image Modes
Standard image mode is well suited for bright rooms and when using content from a computer or a motion picture. Presentation mode is suitable for somewhat bright rooms when text needs to be clear, as in presentations. sRGB mode is designed for projecting images from sRGB-supported digital cameras. Cinema mode is for viewing theatrical image content in a room without ambient lighting. Two customizable modes let you set two separate combinations of image quality settings that can be stored in the memory.
Various image adjustment settings let you customize the image and color characteristics, such as brightness, contrast, sharpness, gamma, tint, color temperature, and screen color. 6-Axis Color Adjust lets you fine-tune the hue and saturation of each of the primary and secondary colors to provide a higher degree of control.
Manual vertical and horizontal lens shift allow for adjustment of the image with virtually no distortion. Omnidirectional projection enables the projector to be positioned anywhere on the vertical axis; fan speed can also be adjusted to help optimize results, depending on projector positioning. Screen color correction lets you fine-tune the colors of images based on the color of the projection surface. Adjustments can be made from Normal and Greenboard, as well as additional tuning for projecting onto virtually any other colored surface.
Various Connectivity Options
Two HDMI inputs, Ethernet, and HDBaseT ports provide a variety of connection options. The Ethernet port allows LAN control, and an RS-232 connection enables remote monitoring via a third-party control system. A USB Type-A port provides power for compatible mobile or streaming devices, and the mini-USB Type-B port supports firmware updates.
Crestron RoomView & AMX Device Discovery
The LX-MH502Z is compatible with Crestron RoomView and AMX Device Discovery for seamless integration into a variety of existing systems and infrastructures.
