Description

With 4500 ISO lumens and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, the XGA-resolution Epson PowerLite 1955 XGA 3LCD Projector has the projection power to present large images in venues where ambient light would be a problem for lesser projectors.

The unit includes Faroudja DCDi Cinema, a video enhancement technology, used primarily for film viewing that produces exceptional image quality without introducing artifacts. Its primary objective is to reduce jagged images by using a unique algorithm. It’s got an international 100 to 240 VAC 50/60Hz power supply and it can handle NTSC, PAL and SECAM TV signals. It can also project 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition signals. And those signals will stay in pristine digital form from the source thanks to the 1955’s HDMI port.

All of those signals benefit from the bright and high contrast Epson 3LCD projector panel. 3LCD delivers clear and vibrant images so true to life you may not believe your eyes. The 1955 is also PC friendly. You can plug your PC into one of the 1955’s two USB ports (A or B) and use it to project a slide show or presentation.

This projector is also equipped to use your local network (LAN). You can make presentations from any PC on your network and you can manage, monitor and control the projector.

The 1955 also includes the split screen feature, which allows you to project two images (video or still) side-by-side from two different sources simultaneously. You can choose from three layout options, swap the images / display sizes, choose the source for the audio and even display closed captioning if the source signal includes it.

With direct power on, you can set the 1955 to turn itself on as soon as it’s plugged into the wall socket. And with Epson’s instant off technology there is no cool down period. As soon as you turn the projector off you can pack it into its included carrying case and move on.

3LCD Technology
3 chips for full-time, vibrant color
25% less electricity required per lumen of brightness when compared to 1-chip DLP projectors
Over 20 years of road-tested reliability built into every projector
Amazing Color and White Light Output
The PowerLite 1955 delivers true-to-life, vibrant, colorful images, even in ambient light. For today’s color-rich, multimedia content, users want a projector that delivers both optimum white and color imagery. That is why the industry has developed a new metric called color light output
Always Look for Color Light Output When Choosing a Projector
For optimum image quality and performance, the projector you choose should offer equal levels of color and white light output
When the two measurements are not identical, images do not look balanced
Whites may be brighter, making the colored areas look dull and flat
The combination of color richness (color light output) and brightness (white light output) is as critical as the combination of bass and treble would be when purchasing audio equipment
Advanced Wireless Security Protocol
The integrated wireless module supports robust wireless network security protocols that prevent information leakage in an enterprise environment. The PowerLite 1955 offers security features such as WEP, WPA-PSK, WPAEAP, WPA2-PSK and WPA2-EAP. These security features are also available in quick connection mode

Message Broadcasting
Broadcast customized images / alerts over the network for announcements or instructions
Send messages to up to 1024 projectors simultaneously (message will overwrite the current screen content if the projector is being used, unless this function is disabled by the presenter)
If the projector is off, message broadcasting will turn it on and display the message
