Tough Precision material is a thermoplastic that has up to two times the impact strength of ABS but still maintains similar tensile strength and flexibility. This filament also utilizes Smart Spool, which provides material type, color, and amount remaining information via an RFID chip to MakerBot Print. A desiccant in the spool also helps maintain a low moisture level inside the drawer bay.
