Maxell MP-AW3001 Overview
Enjoy virtually shadowless images in most installations with the Maxell MP-AW3001 3300-Lumen WXGA Ultra-Short Throw 3LCD Laser Projector. It features an ultra-short 0.3:1 throw ratio, which allows it to be mounted directly above or below your screen, wall, or whiteboard to project an image as large as 130″, reducing the risk of possible shadows. Its 3300 lumens of brightness, combined with its 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, helps it overcome ambient light in many situations and retain detail in dark areas of the image without compromising overall brightness. The WXGA 1280 x 800 native resolution helps ensure that text and images are clear at most viewing distances.
The MP-AW3001 features RCA composite, two VGA, and two HDMI inputs to support various sources. One VGA input can instead act as an output, allowing you to output the video to another projector or display. Its stereo RCA and 1/8″ audio inputs, 1/8″ audio output, and built-in 16-Watt speaker allow audio to accompany your video for a more immersive experience. An IR remote is included for convenient control, plus a VGA cable for virtually instant connectivity.
This technology helps make images appear more real by enhancing sharpness, gloss, and shade. You can also adjust the effects by three levels according to your surroundings so that the colors of projected images are closer to the actual colors of the objects they represent.
Aspect Zoom projects the maximum image size while retaining the aspect ratio of the image.
HDCR2 (High Dynamic Contrast Range)
Using HDCR, blurred images caused by room lighting or outside light sources are corrected, helping to make images appear clearer, even in bright rooms.
Copy configuration settings, such as gamma and keystone, to other MP-AW3001 projectors via your USB drive.
MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) lets you mirror your phone or tablet screen via the projector. It is compatible with nearly all apps.
Perfect Fit 2
Perfect Fit 2 lets you adjust each corner and side independently of one another. It provides vertical and horizontal digital correction of either barrel or pincushion distortions, helping to correct geometric and complicated distortions. Perfect Fit 2 allows the projected image to fit correctly onto the screen quickly and easily.
Projector Quick Connection App for Mobile Devices
Maxell’s mobile app offers full projector control and provides the capability to display photos, documents, and website contents. Available for iPad, iPhone, and Android devices, it works over your LAN via your RJ45 port or an optional USBWL5G wireless adapter.
Input Source Naming
You can name input sources to something more easily recognizable instead of factory default names.
Network Control, Maintenance, and Security
Embedded networking gives you the ability to manage and control multiple projectors over your LAN. Features include event scheduling, centralized reporting, image transfer, and email alerts for reactive and routine maintenance.
By using a USB memory stick or other storage device, you can use the projector without a computer. Menus are easy to see with a thumbnail display. There is also a slideshow function.
PIN Lock / MyScreen / MyText
PIN lock protection can limit projector users. MyScreen PIN lock keeps captured images on the startup screen. Users can set any name logo to MyScreen, clearly identifying ownership. MyText provides the ability to write text on the startup screen, such as model name, serial number, or location.
The PJMessenger function allows you to send and display text messages and audio alerts on your networked projectors, making it easy and efficient to send announcements to multiple units.
Four optional line templates in the projector’s menu can help when writing on a whiteboard.
Wireless Presentation Compatible
Connect the projector to a computer or your network using the optional USBWL5G USB wireless adapter. Maxell’s networking software allows you to send content from your computer directly to the projector via your LAN.
