The OWI 2X2VG-HD2S61 is a three source, 6″ integratable amplified in-ceiling speaker on a 2×2 vinyl grill (one speaker package). It is the perfect audio partner for projectors, microphones, music and paging applications. By placing the amplifier within inches of the speaker, maximum damping control of the speaker due to low source impedance is achieved. The result is optimum high fidelity reproduction and response without an external amplifier. With up to 40 watts of class AB power delivered directly to the speaker, OWI’s self-amplified speakers are powerful enough to drive three additional non-amplified speakers.
NFPA72 ready with built-in electronic shunt
The 2X2VG-HD2S61 includes an electronic shunt to help conform to life safety NFPA72 regulations to be able to shut off from a central location in the event of an emergency. The new amplifier has 3 sources; 1) one stereo 3.5 mini-jack line input, 2) one POP aux input, and 3) one CAT 5 input for connection to the OWI MC4 mixer. (If 25/70/100 volt is required then a transformer will be required and supplied).
Designed to provide multiple applications for different markets
A new advantage for the 2X2VG-HD2S61 is that the upgrade is modular. If Bluetooth, or digital input or more inputs are required then an upgraded board can be attached to the 2X2VG-HD2S61 or can be installed remotely and connected via the RJ45 input. This flexibility is designed to provide multiple applications for different markets with a single product.
