SKB Cases designed the R-Series 2523-26 Waterproof Utility Case to withstand the most extreme and demanding shipping, handling, and working conditions on the planet. The case is offered here with an empty interior to allow for customization and for full use of the interior space. Cubed foam, layered foam, and padded dividers are available separately. The case weighs 47.8 lb / 21.7 kg and is built from LLDPE polyethylene with stainless steel latches and hinges. The case is resistant to a variety of hazards that you may encounter, such as impacts, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, solvents, corrosion, and even fungi. Pressure relief and breather valves come into play especially during air transport by regulating the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurized seal that may develop.
