LED backlighting allows for lighter weight and increased power savings, and there is also a carbon footprint meter for tracking the conservation of green gas emissions and an Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) system. These features, as well as an ergonomic design, make this model good for corporate environments. The E172M-BK is equipped with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024, Twisted Nematic (TN) technology, support for 16.7 million colors, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, a 250 cd/m2 brightness rating, and a 5.5 ms response time. Using the 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position.
This display has DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA connectivity. The DisplayPort and HDMI ports also support audio input, and audio can be output using the integrated speakers or the 3.5mm headphone jack. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the E172M-BK features a height, tilt, and swivel adjustability. If you’d like to mount this display on a wall, it is compatible with 100 x 100mm VESA mounts.
