Adding higher SPLs and even more remote functionality than its predecessor, the STAGEPAS 1K mkII Portable PA System from Yamaha boasts the same combination of lightweight design, professional mixing functions, and simple operation that has made the STAGEPAS series a standout in the portable PA market. The mkII couldn’t be easier to carry and set up, with a mixer-integrated subwoofer and two-segment J-curve line array that can be assembled in seconds and produce enough volume and room coverage to facilitate a wide range of venues, from small coffee shops and clubs, to moderate-sized stages.

The STAGEPAS 1K mkII sports an advanced digital mixer with a useful ducking function for speech over background music, 1-knob EQ adjustment for performing multiple EQ processes simultaneously, and MODE selection, which allows you to adjust optimized compression settings like Speech, Club, or Music modes to match numerous applications. Expanded Bluetooth functionality allows you to use the STAGEPAS Controller app to wirelessly control your volume, 1-knob EQ, or 4-band PEQ during rehearsal or performance, even providing shorter set up times by saving and loading settings on a per song or application basis.

Compact and Powerful Package
J-Curve Slim Line Array
The high-frequency section of the system is composed of 10 small-diameter, 1.5″ speakers arranged in a curved, J-shaped line array. This design configuration allows the system to achieve a vertical coverage of 30° across a span of 170°. The long, 10-driver array can deliver clean, clear, and high-quality sound consistently over long distances, projecting uniform sound from the front to the rear of the audience.
Powerful Advanced Compact Subwoofer
The STAGEPAS features a 12″ subwoofer that is, in fact, the largest in its class. Despite the large 12″ speaker, the subwoofer sports the smallest cabinet on the market for a subwoofer of this size and power. This means that the speaker delivers massive low-end power while taking up a minimal amount of precious real estate on stages. By incorporating Yamaha’s Twisted Flare Port technology to reduce port wind noise that often plagues compact bass-reflex subs, the low-frequency output is maximized, producing very deep, powerful, distortion-free bass.
1100W Class-D Amplifier
With 1100W of Class-D amplification, the STAGEPAS 1K mkII can deliver an impressive 125 dB SPL from its surprisingly compact speaker cabinet. Yamaha has leveraged their decades-long experience as a manufacturer of professional PA products, ensuring that with great power comes great stability. The DXL1K maintains the same accurate, high-quality sound, even at very high output levels.
Professional Functionality and Simple Operation
Digital Mixer with Versatility
With outstanding flexibility for a PA system of this size, the 5-channel digital mixer features three channels of mono microphone/line inputs and stereo inputs, with two of the mono input channels equipped with Hi-Z connectivity for direct input of acoustic-electric guitars and other instruments. In addition to 1/4″ and 3.5mm jacks, the stereo connections support playback with Bluetooth devices as well as a wide range of input sources from instruments to CDs, PCs, and smartphones.
Control with a Single Knob
STAGEPAS 1K mkII comes equipped with a wealth of sound shaping functions, including 1-knob EQ for optimized multiband EQ setting, industry standard SPX reverb, and the Mode control for master output compression settings that match various applications such as Speech, Music, or Club. Each of these functions can be set via a single knob, and have simplified many of the tough tasks like EQ and compression to get you great sound fast. In addition, the optional FC5 foot switch can also be used for on/off operation.

  • SPX Standard Digital Reverb: 1-knob operation gives you access to four types of Yamaha’s proprietary SPX reverb settings—perfect for vocals and acoustic instruments. Simply turn the knob to change the reverb type and time, and then you’re ready to apply just the right amount of high-resolution effect to each channel.
  • 1-knob channel EQ: whether turning to the left to cut unnecessary low-end frequencies for speeches or turning to the right to emphasize the bottom and high end for band performances, this innovative equalizer can dial in the perfect sound adjustment with a simple turn of the knob.
  • MODE for Master Output: the multiband compressor adjusts optimized compression settings to suit various applications. By selecting Music, Speech, or Club Mode, which is closest to your application, you can add a more professional edge to your sound without having to learn difficult compression/audio engineering principles.
STAGEPAS Controller
With an all-new interface, STAGEPAS Controller is a dedicated remote control application for the STAGEPAS 1K mkII that allows users to adjust volume and 1-knob EQ or 4-band PEQ via Bluetooth during rehearsal or performance. You can also save the adjusted settings for certain songs or applications in order to shorten your setup process in the future and maintain consistency from one performance to the next, and even control the volume of multiple STAGEPAS 1K mkII units from within the application.
Priority Ducker
STAGEPAS 1K mkII features a Priority Ducker function, which can be controlled from the STAGEPAS Controller application and also turned on/off directly from the device. An invaluable feature for applications that require both public-speaking and background music, Priority Ducker allows a microphone to take priority over another sound source automatically, just by speaking into the mic. Stop talking and the other sound source is brought back to its original level, and thus no console operator is required for this simple yet valuable function. You can even adjust the ducker attenuation of the sound source to suit your preferences.
Superior Utility and Portability
Durable Construction, Simple Setup
The STAGEPAS 1K mkII is not only capable of uniformly filling a wide area with quality sound, but it’s also lightweight enough to be easily carried by anyone, and simple enough to set up in as little as one minute. Simply affix the two spacers and speaker unit into the subwoofer and you are done—no cables, stands, or additional gear is required. The system can even be expanded by linking it to a STAGEPAS 1K mkII system, allowing a maximum of five mono inputs and one stereo input.

  • Easy to rapidly set up in one to two minutes, no extra cables required
  • Lightweight ABS cabinet and polyurea coating for rugged durability in harsh performance environments
  • Wide frequency response of 37 Hz to 20 kHz for deep lows and crisp highs
  • Expandable via DXL1K or other STAGEPAS 1K mkII systems, link the systems for stereo playback, greater coverage, increased output power, and/or expanded inputs
  • Two combo XLR-1/4″ inputs, XLR link in and out jacks
  • Includes fitted cover with pouches for storage of spacers, speaker array, or additional accessories
  • Compatible with optional DL-SP1K dolly for convenient transportation
