Description

Add a high-definition 4K PTZ camera to your e-sport production, classroom, reality TV show, or remote corporate meeting space with this black Compact 4K60 Box-Style Remote Camera with 25x Optical Zoom from Sony. The compact box-style digital camera features an 8.5MP 1/2.5″ CMOS sensor that can capture up to UHD 4K60 video for output over HDMI. Its lens features a 25x optical zoom with a 4.8 to 120mm (28 to 694 35mm equivalent) focal length, so you can capture a wide area when the camera is very close to the subject or zoom in close when you are farther away. If you pair it with the separately available SRG-XP1, you can add a POV-style camera to your switched production.

The camera allows you to record up to 8-bit 4:4:4 video up to UHD 4K60 via the HDMI 2.0 output, and you can stream via its RJ45 LAN port using RTMP/RTSP protocols as well as with a Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) option. You can also embed or de-embed analog audio using 3.5mm input and output jacks. There is also a tally light on the front of the camera, so you can tell when the camera is live and recording.

To power the SRG-XB25, you can either plug the camera into mains power with the included power adapter, or you can utilize PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) using your local PoE-supported LAN to save power cable runs. You can control the camera via the RS-232 8-pin DIN I/O connectors using the VISCA serial protocol and a separately available serial controller, or you can utilize the Ethernet port for LAN control. Optional NDI|HX control is available separately with an optional license purchase.

Key Features

Robust, Stylish, and Compact
Weighing in at just 30 oz, the SRG-XB25 can be readily integrated into any environment. Upper and lower tripod mounts increase installation flexibility. Rear-panel guards ensure extra robustness, and the large, easy-to-read tally lamp is useful in multiple-camera setups.

Multiple Streaming Outputs
Streaming video is available over HDMI, Ethernet, and USB 3.0 interfaces offers even greater operational flexibility. Full UVC capability will be available with a future firmware update.

High Quality 4K60 images
The camera’s large 1/2.5″ Exmor R CMOS sensor captures smooth, crisply detailed 4K60 video with excellent low-light sensitivity.

Audio Input and Output
Connect an external microphone or line-level source to capture clear pictures with sound in lecture theaters and meeting rooms or on reality TV shows using a 3.5mm analog stereo input jack. There is also a 3.5mm stereo output jack for output to an external mixer or speaker.

Powerful 25x Optical Zoom
The integrated autofocus lens with 25x optical zoom plus additional digital zoom assures ultra-clear, powerful close-ups of presenters or audience members.

Easy IP Connectivity, Single-Cable Installation
Camera control, PoE, and streaming video output are carried over a single Ethernet cable, reducing installation costs and simplifying integration in space-restricted or hard-to-reach locations. Full IP integration includes support for Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP), and Secure Reliable Transport (SRT). Support for NDI|HX is also available via an optional license.

Broadcast-Style Tally Light
The camera-mounted tally light gives visual confirmation to the lecturer or presenter when the camera is active. The horizontal bar-style light is easily visible to both performer/presenter and director.
